About GeoTangent

GeoTangent designs, builds and computes.

We deliver conventional civil engineering to the highest professional standard, and we make it measurably better using mathematics and calculation tools we write ourselves. The firm exists to close the gap between analytical depth and real drawings, real tenders, real fields and real businesses.

Direction

Vision & Mission

Vision

A better-shaped world, measured in drops saved.

To create innovative, precise and sustainable engineering solutions — powered by mathematics and scientific computing — that shape a better world for future generations, and to help India use every drop of its water as if the next generation were watching.

Mission

Integrated engineering, one accountable roof.

Provide integrated engineering under a single accountable roof. Put optimum-water technology into the hands of ordinary farmers. Build calculation tools and data analytics so our clients save time, cost, water and material. Bring advanced tools within reach of all.

Designated Partners

GeoTangent LLP brings together three capabilities rarely found under one roof: deep civil engineering practice, rigorous applied mathematics, and scientific computing written in-house. This is deliberate.

Designated Partner — Engineering, Projects, Water & Geospatial

Dr. Pawan Nandlal Bhavsar, Ph.D.

B.E. (Civil), University of Pune, 2009 · M.E. (Building Science & Technology), North Maharashtra University, 2013 · Ph.D. (Water Resources Engineering — Remote Sensing & GIS), SVNIT Surat, 2019

Sixteen years across public infrastructure delivery and engineering education — underground drainage, sewage treatment, water supply, highways and urban infrastructure for government clients, as Project Manager and Project Management Consultant on works running into hundreds of crores. Former Head of Department, Civil Engineering (two terms), and author of four peer-reviewed journal papers and an IAHR World Congress paper on hydrological modelling, optimisation and remote sensing.

Writes the computational tools the practice runs on: parametric estimate workbooks, drawing-linked quantity and bar bending schedules, interactive 3D structure models, catchment and hydraulic routines, and optimisation models.

Mrs. Priyanka Pawan Bhavsar

M.Sc. (Mathematics)

Leads the analytical engine of the firm. Engineering software gives answers; mathematics tells you whether those answers can be trusted, how sensitive they are, and how to improve them — numerical methods, optimisation, statistics, geostatistics and multi-criteria decision analysis, including the calibration, validation and uncertainty analysis most consultancies skip.

Why this pairing matters to a client

A design office can give you a drawing. A software vendor can give you a dashboard. GeoTangent gives you a solution where the engineering, the mathematics behind it, and the code that computes it are all owned by the same two people who signed your contract — so nothing is lost in translation between them.

The Road Here

Sixteen years of practice, assembled into one firm.

2010 onwards

Civil engineering practice & teaching

Design, estimation and delivery management across public infrastructure — underground drainage, sewage treatment, water supply, highways — alongside engineering education.

Academic leadership

Head of Department, Civil Engineering

Led a civil engineering department — curriculum, laboratories, student projects — while continuing consultancy practice on live public works.

Doctoral research

Ph.D. — Water Resources Engineering (RS & GIS)

Doctorate in water resources with remote sensing and GIS specialisation — the technical foundation of the firm's water, agriculture and geospatial verticals.

6 August 2025

GeoTangent LLP incorporated

Registered with the Registrar of Companies, Pune under the LLP Act, 2008 — with civil engineering, applied mathematics and scientific computing as the founding three-pillar model.

30 October 2025

Udyam / MSME registration

Registered as a Micro enterprise in Services — formalising the firm's small-enterprise credentials for government and institutional clients.

Today

Twelve verticals, one accountable roof

From a single farm plot's irrigation schedule to multi-crore public works — engineering, mathematics and computation delivered by the partners who sign the contract.

Research & Publications

Peer-reviewed research behind our work

The hydrology, optimisation and remote-sensing methods used by the firm come from the founding partner's doctoral research at S.V. National Institute of Technology, Surat, with Dr. J. N. Patel: four journal papers — one SCI-indexed — and a paper at the IAHR World Congress.

Our Principles

Core Values

Six commitments that decide how every drawing, model and dashboard leaves this office.

Accuracy

Numbers are checked twice and traceable to a source — a code, a survey, a measurement or a validated model.

Integrity

We advise what the project needs, not what earns us more. Bad news is delivered early.

Innovation

We continuously test new tools, but adopt them only after they prove themselves on real work.

Stewardship

Water, energy, soil and material are treated as finite. Every design is examined for its footprint.

Learning

We teach what we know — through workshops, training and farmer awareness — because the sector grows only when skills spread.

Accountability

A named engineer owns every deliverable. Software and AI assist; a qualified professional signs.

Statutory Identity

Registered, verifiable, accountable.

These particulars appear on every official document the firm issues. Cross-check them freely — that is the point of publishing them.
